The candle has a soft wax core and hard wax outer which means that only the inside of the candle will burn leaving the outside intact, so a tunnelling effect is completely normal.
Candle Care: Light your candle in a well-ventilated room on a candle plate away from drafts to avoid sooting and uneven burning. After extinguishing the flame of your candle, centre and straighten the wick and trim the wick to approximately 5mm once the wax has set. Keep the wax pool clear of wick trimmings and matches. For best results, do not burn the candle for short periods of time, as this may leave a thick outer wall. We recommend burning for approximately 3-4 hours each time.
Safety: To prevent fire and serious injury, burn candle within sight. Keep away from drafts and vibrations. Keep out of reach of children and pets. Never burn this candle on or near anything that can catch fire. Keep the candle free from any foreign materials, including matches and wick trimmings. Only burn the candle on a level fire-resistant surface. Extinguish candle if it smokes, flickers repeatedly or the flame becomes too high. Do not allow the candle to burn down completely, extinguish when approximately 20mm of the wax remains.
